Trows

Trows

Trickster’s Charm

Descend into the shadowed folklore of Scotland’s trows — mischievous night-wanderers said to move between hill and stone when the light begins to fade. This scent opens with the sharp clarity of spearmint and lemon, bright and bracing like cold air at dusk.

As the flame steadies, eucalyptus emerges — cool, almost otherworldly, adding an edge of quiet unease. Beneath the freshness, dark chocolate lingers in the base, rich and bittersweet, a tempting contrast that softens the chill without dispelling it.

Invigorating yet subtly dark, this is a scent of contrasts — playful, cunning, and impossible to ignore.

Step carefully, or you may find yourself caught in their tricks.

Trows _ short clip

Dance of a Lifetime - Full Legend

Legend has it...

The Tricksters of the Night

Deep within the misty isles of Scotland, where the wind whispers secrets through the heather and the moon casts long, flickering shadows, dwell the Trows—small,
elusive creatures of mischief and mystery. Unlike their more fearsome cousins,
the trolls of Norse legend, the trows are sly, nocturnal tricksters, known for
their strange laughter and unpredictable ways.

The Night Wanderers

Trows are said to emerge only after dusk, avoiding the sun’s touch, which could
weaken or even destroy them. They lurk in hidden burrows beneath the hills,
their homes marked only by twisted trees or strange rings in the grass. By
night, they roam the countryside, slipping through the darkness, sometimes
dancing in eerie circles beneath the stars, other times sneaking into human
homes to steal food.

The Music of the Trows

Though feared for their trickery, trows are also famed for their music. Legends tell
of shepherds and travelers lured into their hidden halls by the enchanting
sound of a fiddle or harp, only to awaken years later, aged but unchanged, as
if caught in a spell of endless revelry. Some say the greatest human musicians
learned their skill by overhearing the trows’ melodies on the wind.

A Warning to the Unwary

While trows can be playful, they can also be vengeful. If a mortal offends them—by
disturbing their mounds, mocking their music, or refusing their silent demands
for offerings—they may fall victim to misfortune. Milk may sour overnight,
tools may vanish, or a lingering illness may take hold. Some wise folk still
leave small gifts of bread and cream outside their doors, hoping to appease
these elusive beings and keep their pranks at bay.

Vanishing into Legend

As time passed and belief in the old ways faded, the trows seemed to slip further
into the shadows, their footsteps growing fainter with each passing century.
Yet, on certain nights, when the wind howls over the moors and the sky glows
with an eerie light, some still whisper that the trows are watching—waiting for
the moment to return, dancing unseen in the moonlight.

Will you dare to seek them, or will you heed the warnings and leave them to their twilight realm?
