Faeries

Faeries

A Glimmer in the Twilight

Inspired by the whispered lore of Scotland’s fae, Faeries opens with a bright lift of bergamot and ripe pear — fresh and luminous, like the last light fading over meadow grass.

As the candle warms, freesia and magnolia unfold at the heart, soft and weightless, adding a gentle floral shimmer to the air. Beneath it all, patchouli settles quietly into the base — earthy and grounding, like hidden roots beneath the forest floor.

Light yet layered, playful yet composed — feels like twilight itself, where sweetness meets shadow.

A scent as enchanting and elusive as the fae themselves — step lightly, or you may never return.

Faeries _ short clip

Whispers of the Faery Realm - Full Legend

Legend has it...

The Hidden Folk of the Highlands

Deep in the misty glens, among the ancient standing stones and beneath the tangled roots of old oaks, dwell the faeries of Scotland—mysterious, unpredictable, and forever tied to the wild magic of the land. Unlike the delicate winged sprites of modern fairy tales, these beings are far more complex—sometimes enchanting, sometimes fearsome, but always beyond human understanding.

The Two Courts – Seelie and Unseelie

Scottish folklore speaks of two great courts of faeries, their nature as different as sunlight and shadow:

  • The Seelie Court: These fae are considered the more benevolent of the two, though still mischievous. They may offer aid to humans, bestowing gifts of luck or protection, but their favors are fleeting, and their sense of humor can be cruel. A traveler who shows them kindness may find their burdens lightened, while one who offends them risks mysterious misfortune.
  • The Unseelie Court: Far darker are the fae of the Unseelie Court—restless spirits of the night, who bring mischief and malice wherever they roam. They do not seek out humans for companionship or sport but for torment, luring them off safe paths, leading them astray with flickering lights, or even stealing them away entirely, never to be seen again.

The Danger of the Faeries

Scottish faeries are not to be trifled with. They are known to steal away mortals, replacing them with changelings—sickly, strange children who do not belong. They dance in circles beneath the full moon, and any human who joins them may find themselves trapped, only to wake years later, their lives stolen by time. They dwell in hidden places, beneath hills and within ancient cairns, and disturbing their homes can bring swift and terrible retribution.

The Fading of the Faeries

As the modern world grew, the fae of Scotland seemed to retreat further into the mists, their presence felt only by those who still believe. Yet, on certain nights, when the veil between worlds is thin, there are those who claim to hear their laughter carried on the wind, or see strange lights dancing in the moors, vanishing when approached.

Do they still linger, watching from the shadows, waiting for a time when belief in them will rise again? Or have they simply stepped beyond our world, lost but never truly gone?

Tread carefully, for the fae are never far, and their magic never fades.
